Milton 2E50R.4a 50c Second Issue Experimental Invert About New. Six examples are known of this piece. It's the 50c Experimental back on fiber paper with the face having the bronze oval only. The back has the completed red engraving, and the R-2-18-63 surcharge of the Friedberg 1321 type. With no face orientation, it's actually impossible to state whether the engraving or bronze is inverted (although the blue specimen stamp indicates that stamp guy felt it was the bronze). The note has a few minor nicks and an irregularly cut edge, and there is some staining around the corner surcharges. It should prove relatively inexpensive for an unusual Experimental Invert.
