Milton 3E10R.2 10¢ Third Issue Experimental Back on Bristol Board PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
This is a very rare experimental back with less than five known of this design and format. It was printed directly on Bristol Board leaving a razor sharp impression. It has a pencil notation V-84 which is the Valentine number. Interestingly, an inverted plate number "30" is seen in the lower right corner. PMG also notes an as made wrinkle. Bristol Board proofs are some of the rarest and desired pieces of Fractional Currency. They were printed directly on the soft, thick card stock with no intervening India paper using extremely heavy pressure. In spite of the very thick stock, the plate pressure was sufficient to make a very sharp impression. This is a rare opportunity for the fractional specialist to obtain a true rarity.
