Fractional Currency Shield, With Gray Background.
The gray background on this Shield has been trimmed to the corner tips of the top star and the bottom and side points. It has been mounted on a piece of red material and has a number of water spots and folds, including a horizontal one between the fourth and fifth row of notes from the bottom. The top right corner has been torn off and reattached to the red backing with excess glue residue showing. The notes are all bright with a few exceptions, and all are intact. The Second Issue 25¢ back note is normal buff color and not the blue that is usually seen. The 50¢ Spinner and Justice and the 10¢ notes are all of the Colby-Spinner signature combination. The 15¢ Grant-Sherman has the signature combination of Jeffries-Spinner. This frame is of light-colored wood.
