Fr. 1300 25¢ Third Issue PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 45.
One of the classic rarities of fractional currency, this solid surcharge Fessenden with the design letter "a" is always in short supply in the marketplace. Only a few more than a dozen Fr. 1300s are known to us, and this one is about halfway in the condition census. Few 1300s have escaped damage of some sort, with their very brittle paper, and this one has a small problem which PCGS mentions as "Repaired Edge Tear at Bottom Right; Piece Replaced at Top Edge at Right; Minor Paper Toning." PCGS has graded eleven notes of this number, with only three grading higher than this piece.
