Fr. 1240 10¢ First Issue Uncut Block of Nine Notes. PCGS New 62.
First Issue perforated uncut multiples are extremely rare. This block of nine is the second largest we have offered. The perforations are all intact, although the third party grading service mentions "Splits at Perforations" which are not seen by this cataloger. It is also interesting that while the face is printed almost perfectly centered, the back was fed into the printing press at a slight angle so that the back notes are slanting upwards from left to right. While not enough of a skewed printing to qualify as a true error, it is a neat anomaly on a very rare block. The third party grading service has also cited "Silked" on the back of the holder.
