    Description

Fr. 1240 10¢ First Issue PCGS Gem New 65.
Richly contrasted green inks, offset against bright white paper, give this scarcer perforated fractional incredible visual impact. A number that is available enough through the Choice Crisp Uncirculated grades, but which becomes markedly more challenging to find in Gem Crisp Uncirculated condition. In our Long Beach sale last year, we sold a PMG Gem Unc 66 EPQ note for $1,560. The last PCGS Gem New 65 that we have sold brought $747.50 in our 2011 FUN sale. That was a different note but is 98% identical to this one.
