    Description

    Fr. 1312 50c First Issue PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. At this grade level this is one of the nicest examples this cataloger has seen in his years of specializing in fractional currency. Rich ink colors are contrasted by bright paper, which leads to the PMG comment "Exceptional Paper Quality." The face margins are huge on all sides with virtually perfect centering of both face and back. The two Mayer examples in this same grade sold for $632.50 and $747.50 and the margins on those were clearly inferior to those of this note.
