Fr. 1311 50c First Issue Vertical Pair Very Choice New. All perforated multiples are very rare, and the Fr. 1311's are exceptionally so. We know of only two other 1311 multiples, a horizontal pair that grades Extra Fine and a vertical strip of four grading Choice New. This pair, which we believe was previously from the Alan May Collection, is a real beauty. The perforations are full all the way around, the colors are excellent and the rarity speaks for itself. Individually, these are $500-apiece notes. But as an unsevered pair, the value easily doubles.
