Likely Unique Fr. 1231 Block of Eight

Fr. 1231 5¢ First Issue Block of Eight PCGS Choice About New 58PPQ.
To our best knowledge, this is a previously unknown item and the largest known multiple of straight edge, no monogram First Issue five cent notes. All eight notes are pristine individually. The 58 grade results from the notes having been folded evenly between subjects, with none of the folds touching the designs of any of the notes. Fully bright, spectacular looking, and irreplaceable. We can find no other Fr. 1231 multiple of any size in our archive or in any of the catalogs on hand, including Friedberg, O'Mara, and Ford. Taken individually, the eight notes would be worth about $2,500. As a block, on the current market, we can do nothing but guess. We would expect this extreme rarity and likely unique item to reach or exceed $5,000.
