Enigmatic Dry-Printed Negative Essay Choice New. Extremely light inking remains on this 5¢ negative Essay back printing from the Tom O'Mara Collection. The embossing remains rather pronounced and there are also slight remnants of a blue "SPECIMEN" stamp and three pie-wedge-shaped cancels. The note is dyed light pink, very likely by J.N.T. Levick, which makes the extraordinarily light brown printing even more difficult to see. This piece, which has no Milton number, may not have a whole lot of monetary value, but at the very least, it is extremely interesting and an important developmental item.
