Matching Serial Number 20000200 Fr. 1936-A*-L $2 1995 Federal Reserve Notes.
These deuces were originally issued in a BEP Premium Millennium Federal Reserve $2 Set. Production was limited to 2,000 sets and only Atlanta stars were printed for general circulation. The serial number of 20000200 tells us that this was the 200th set. Seven examples grade PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 and five pieces come in at PMG Choice Uncirculated 63. The back label of each note describes minor thinning. Each of these stars has a transparent stain of varying sizes in the bottom margin. The two most popular hypotheses is that the staining is oil from a cutting blade at the Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth, or it is due to the BEP packaging, as this phenomena has been observed in virtually all of these sets that have been consigned to us. (Total: 12 notes)
