Finest $10,000 Federal Reserve Note Ever Offered at Auction
    Tied for Finest Known

Fr. 2231-J $10,000 1934 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
This spectacular note is the finest $10,000 to ever grace one of our auctions. It is one of just three $10,000s certified by PMG at this lofty level for all series and districts, with none finer. The other two pieces graded at this level are from the Chicago district, and have appeared previously at public sale, according to Track & Price. This gorgeous note has all the attributes that one would expect from that grade--perfect centering, ideal colors, and excellent eye appeal. Also, the embossing is bold enough to be seen through its third-party holder. It is number 562 of only 1,200 examples originally printed, the smallest print run (tied with Richmond and Dallas) of any district for this series. It is a truly magnificent $10,000, and is well worth whatever it takes to take it home. Any collector who is serious about owning the very best available will find this note a must-have item. We expect substantial bidding interest. Gem Uncirculated 65s have nearly all topped $200,000 in recent years, and this will easily soar past that number.
