Fr. 2210-B $1000 1928 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Very Fine 30 EPQ.
Though the Oakes opus does not indicate this issue is worth a premium over the other Series 1928 $1000s, we believe otherwise. To date, we have handled only one non-star New York example. That EF piece was sold in 2005 as part of our Taylor Family collection and realized $2,530. Though this piece is VF, it contrasts nicely as it is fully original and solid for the grade, thus the EPQ designation. We expect this piece to do as well, if not better than the Taylor Family example.
