    Finest Known Fr. 2115-F*

Fr. 2115-F* $50 1969A Federal Reserve Note. PCGS Superb Gem New 68PPQ.
A stunning example of this rare star from a short print run of only 64,000. It is in a state of preservation that puts it at the very top of the pyramid as neither of the two major grading services combined have seen another Fr. 2115-F* equal or higher. The margins are broad, and both the centering and face to back registration are so very close to being spot on perfect. We have auctioned this star twice before when it was in a PCGS first generation holder. Both of those times were in 2013 and it brought prices realized of $1675 and $1410. This star continues to have both grade and rarity going for it. Therefore in today's marketplace, one can look for the bidding competition to surpass those earlier prices.
