    Ex-Grinnell 1928 $10 FRN - Serial Number 77

Fr. 2000-C $10 1928 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
Grinnell owned a matching set of the Series 1928 $5, $10, and $20 Federal Reserve Notes with low serial number C00000077A. They sold as lots 4949-4951 in the multi-auction offering. Curiously, this serial number is the lowest known for the $10, by over 2300 notes. It is well centered and simply lovely with deep inks and a perfectly embossed Treasury seal. Tonight we expect a better realization than the $5,175 that this note brought in 2010, a low point in the recent currency market.
