    Description

Pleasing San Francisco $1,000 Federal Reserve Note

Fr. 1133-L $1,000 1918 Federal Reserve Note PMG Very Fine 30.
Solid for the grade, this note has excellent margins and a nice overall appearance. Surprisingly, the San Francisco district has more survivors of this rare $1,000 type note than the much larger eastern cities. This is a quite respectable note whose only flaw, in the opinion of PMG, is the lightening of a stain. There are, indeed, several small stained areas, but none appear to us to have been altered from their original state. They are really more in the class of handling soil rather than stains from a foreign substance, and in our opinion, were not really worthy of mention.
