    Description

Newly Reported 1918 San Francisco $1,000 Fed

Fr. 1133-L $1,000 1918 Federal Reserve Note PMG Very Fine 30.
San Francisco is the only truly available district for large size $1,000s with 58 examples recorded by Track & Price, not including this offering which is newly reported. It is an attractive mid-grade piece with even wear and light soiling commensurate with its level of circulation. Apparently, PMG had to find something on this pleasing example so they have added a comment about annotation which is nothing more than small, lightly written number in the top margin on the back. This is a very good looking note with decent margins and overall pleasing eye appeal. In our 2018 FUN auction, we sold a PMG Very Fine 30 note, with some lightened stains, for $20,400.
