Fr. 1073a $100 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note PCGS Very Fine 20.
A rare Friedberg number that has been absent from our auctions for a couple of years. This piece is a new addition to the Track and Price census of a mere 18 examples, several of which are locked away in institutional collections. It is a pleasing, even circulated specimen with good color and solid paper. In our 2016 ANA auction, we offered a PMG Very Fine 25 note that garnered a winning bid of $9,400. This particular example, which is problem-free for the grade, could approach that level.
