Beautifully Margined and Perfectly Colored Chicago District $20 FRBN

Fr. 824 $20 1915 Federal Reserve Bank Note PCGS Gem New 65.
This is a type that is extremely difficult to find in Gem condition. When it is found, it is almost always from this Chicago district which makes this the basic type for high end $20 FRBNs. We have not sold a 65 since April of 2013, when one realized $14,100. Careful examination of this note leaves us baffled as to why it has not been assigned the PPQ designation. It also looks more like a 66 than a 65 through the holder. The assigned grade is almost certainly accurate, but the extra eye appeal and good surfaces should carry this beyond the typical 65 price.
