Tied For Finest Known at PMG

Fr. 1890-K $100 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Note. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
Hundreds from the Dallas district are hardly rare in most grades, but they become quite difficult to find in the highest grade ranges. This piece is tied with one other for finest known at PMG, while PCGS has graded no 64s but two 65s. The last PMG 65 to sell fetched $16,450 in our 2014 Long Beach sale, and no 64 has sold since 2010. We will opt for a conservative estimate here, but it would come as no surprise to see it easily eclipsed once the bidding opens.
