    Description

Fr. 1870-C $20 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
A lovely note which is one of the very few low serial numbers known for the Philadelphia $20's. Dean Oakes has written "Two or three notes of the first 100 are known to me, not many when compared to the [Philadelphia] $10." In addition to its scarce low number C00000010A, this piece features very nice centering and superb paper surfaces. At our last Central States auction, we sold an identically graded example with a "regular" serial number for over $1,410 and fully expect this pretty serial number 10 note to far exceed that realization.
