    Description

Finest Known Boston $20 Brown Seal Replacement

Fr. 1870-A* $20 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Note. PCGS About New 50PPQ.
Our consignor acquired this note in our 2015 FUN auction where it was described, "An extremely scarce star, with this example, which is new to the census, the finest graded to date, and by a very considerable margin at that...especially considering the previous finest came in at Very Fine 30. Bright, fully original, and displaying excellent color, a perfect note for the advanced star collector." It sold for $7,050.00 on an estimate of $5000-$7000 and we will use that same figure here and fully expect it to finish near it.
