PMG Gem 66 EPQ Minneapolis $5 FRBN

Fr. 1850-I $5 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
A prime example from the always popular and scarce Minneapolis district. Gem quality is clearly exemplified by the note's strong embossing, natural paper wave, and well proportioned margins. This is one of just three pieces graded at this lofty level by PMG with none finer. More importantly, it appears to be the first of the three Gem 66 notes to be publicly offered. (We say appears to be as, while Track and Price reports no offerings of a 66-graded note, incredibly, they list this low serial number 25 note as grading a mere Very Fine). Nonetheless, it is certainly the finest Minneapolis $5 we have ever offered, and will certainly generate some serious bidding amongst the Registry Set enthusiasts.
