Rare Fr. 828 $20 FRBN with a Wet Ink Transfer Error
Wet Ink Transfer Error Fr. 828 $20 1915 Federal Reserve Bank
Note PMG Very Fine 25.
A rare Dallas Friedberg number with only 45 serial numbers enumerated in Track & Price, that figure includes the example in this lot. It is highly unusual to have an error large size note as part of such a low population figure. Also, we have no record of this error note previously appearing at auction. In fact, it was not documented until January 1990. Due to a wet ink transfer, the printed signatures of Hoopes and Van Zandt are found not only on the face, but also on the back of this $20.
