Newly Discovered Dual Inverted Star 1928 $20 Green Seal

Fr. 2050-B* $20 1928 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Very Fine 30.
The world of paper money is certainly full of surprises and this note should not disappoint. For years the king of the dual inverted stars has been the 1928 series $100 replacement notes. Now the 1928 series $20 denomination also has a representative for this desirable error type. An operator error caused the stars to be placed in the numbering wheel upside down. The stars are rotated 180 degrees and the crown points point directly down. In 2015, we sold the only known $100 from the Dallas district with dual inverted stars for $10,575.00. Our estimate here today may prove conservative but we will let the bidders decide the ultimate value for this recent discovery.
