    Description

    Neat Retained Obstruction Error

Fr. 1930-E $1 2003A Federal Reserve Note. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 Net.
A great retained obstruction error that appears to be printed through some type of sandpaper that has been adhered to the note. The adhesive is an interesting feature, which makes it appear as though someone did not want this material falling off of the sheet prior to the application of the third printing. The Net grade was given for the adhesive. Possibly, there would not be this highly unusual error without the adhesive. The large obstruction measures approximately 4.25 by .5 inches and runs diagonally upwards with the left serial number suffix letter, the upper half of the Treasury Seal, and a "5" district indicator printed on it.
