    Description

Fr. 1911-J $1 1981 Federal Reserve Note. Extremely Fine-About Uncirculated. Here is an excellent example of the very scarce paper splice error. The green strip is visible beneath the spliced section which runs along the bottom of the note with over 30% of the note covered. The BEP scanning system obviously failed to alert the press operator about this portion of the sheet which gave us this R9 error. Poor storage caused a small, barely visible internal tear at the top within the "L" in Federal. Also, two light diagonal folds are seen.
