Only Known Double Inverted Star $20 Error

Fr. 2050-B* $20 1928 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Very Fine 30.
A double inverted star error which is highly unusual as this rare error type is normally associated with only one "*" being upside down. In this case, the note had both star plugs inserted in the serial number wheels upside down. This has the crown point for both rotated 180 degrees and pointing downwards. Later, the BEP would make the "*" plug in such a way that it could only be inserted correctly. With this the only dual inverted star $20 note known and having sold the only dual inverted star $100 from the Dallas district for $10,575.00 in 2015, our estimate here today may prove conservative in the extreme.
