    Description

    Insufficient Magnetic Ink Fr. 2077-G $20 1990 Federal Reserve Notes. Two Consecutive Examples. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
    The entire magnetic ink checkerboard pattern is missing from this striking error pair. This type of error began slipping into circulation with the 1990 Series when the BEP added several anti-counterfeiting measures to our nation's paper money. We auctioned the immediate succeeding note of this pair with the same completeness of missing magnetic ink and also in the same PMG grade for $900 in September, 2020. Our current offering is the first time that we have issued consecutive notes of this error type with all of the magnetic ink missing. Therefore, look for the last September figure to be at least doubled, if not more. (Total: 2 notes)
