    20 Consecutive Mismatched Serial Number Errors

    Fr. 1619 $1 1957 Silver Certificates. Twenty Consecutive Examples. PCGS Graded.
    A consecutive run of high grade 55/54 mismatched serial number error notes are in this lot. Seventeen examples grade Gem New 66PPQ with twelve of those being consecutive. The other three pieces grade Very Choice New 64. All 20 exhibit embossing and four wide margins and that includes the three notes grading 64. We auctioned as a single lot another twenty consecutive examples with three less 66 EPQ notes of this error in April, 2019. The estimate was $10,000 to $15,000 and that lot realized $13,200.
