Fr. 2086-F $20 1999 Federal Reserve Note. Very Fine.
An E-1 plate position note that suffered an upper right foldover after being cut-down to a half-sheet and before the third printing. Most of the Treasury Seal and two characters of the serial number are found on the back. There is soiling on the face plus adhesive in the neighborhood of the lower right corner. The top edge has both blue and red "ATM" ink in three different places. When the tellers are loading the ATM machines with bundles of notes, they mark the top edge of every other bundle with a marker. At the end of the day when the tellers are balancing the ATM machines, they can glance at the top edge of the stack and count the marked and unmarked bundles for a total and then just pull the last bundle of the stack and count the notes individually. A hard fold at center rounds out the description.
