    Description

Fr. 2072-J $20 1977 Federal Reserve Note. Gem Crisp Uncirculated. This is a wild error that bears evidence that points to the following sequence of events - the first (back) printing was normal, then before the second printing, a large aperture at top center was caused, and the paper for this opening laid on the note as an obstruction, causing a blank area to the left of the portrait during the second printing. Next, the loose paper obstruction is dislodged, and the left-hand serial number is printed correctly over the blank area. Also, on the right-hand side, the upper right-hand corner folds over, and the right-hand serial number winds up on both the face and back of this note. Surely, an error that will produce much conversation.
