    Description

    HB-226 EP-57 Reed-TA03 3¢ N & G Taylor Extremely Fine.
Three Cent N & G Taylors, although the second most common denomination, are seriously rare. Reed feels the population is five to ten pieces, and we agree, as did the Stack's 6/04 cataloger. This piece is one of the nicer ones. The case is a problem-free XF with more than a little silvering remaining at the center. The stamp has a few wrinkles and is lightly faded and the mica has the typical minor crazing and one short crack at the bottom center. Oddly, the crack is identical in size and location as that on the Mayer example, but this is a different piece.
