    Description

    Outstanding N&G Taylor & Co. 1¢

    HB-225 EP-28 1¢ N & G Taylor & Co. Choice About New.
One of the very rarest of the Encased Postage merchants, with less than 20 examples known for all denominations combined. The 1¢ and 3¢ account for more than half of that total, with the other three known denominations represented by one or two pieces each. This gorgeous One Cent has a beautifully bright stamp, a clear mica and a glossy, light brown, flawless case. The mica has a few minor natural flaws at its bottom, but it is unaffected by circulation-caused defects. This piece is certainly among the top two or three examples of this merchant, and it's the nicest One Cent we have ever seen.
