DescriptionHB-152 EP-82 5¢ Ribbed Frame Irving House - Hunt & Nash Fine.
An interesting piece of encased as it has circulated for an amazingly long time and has remained undamaged. The case itself is worn down to the Fine grade, something this cataloger has never seen before for any piece of encased. Yet, the stamp remains almost 100% fully bright and the mica, though it has a number of surface marks, has remained clear and free from problems. This 5 cent Irving House is actually more common as a ribbed frame variety than it is as a plain frame.
