    Description

    T7 $100 1861 PF-4 Cr. 11 PCGS Very Choice New 64PPQ.
Secretary Memminger, faced with overwhelming demand for additional currency, pressed the firm of Hoyer & Ludwig into service to provide lithographed notes after the New Orleans branch of the ABNCo (Southern Bank Note Company) was found to be incapable of providing the mass of notes required for commerce. This note, one of only 37,155 originally issued and formerly part of the Eric P. Newman Collection, is the second finest example we have been able to offer in any of our public auctions in recent memory.
