Rare T65 Uncut Sheet 6-10 Known

T65 $100 1864 PF-3 Cr. 494 Uncut Sheet of Four PMG About Uncirculated 50 Net.
A dark red underprint is observed on this uncut sheet that has a nearly complete Confederate Treasury Seal at the upper right. This unsigned sheet may have been liberated when Union forces entered Columbia in mid-February, 1865. It does have three thin tape repairs as it has been severed and reattached. We have auctioned only one other example of this sheet. It graded PMG 45 Net with repairs, splits, and stains, and realized $10,575 in April, 2016. This is not surprising, as on page 46 of Fricke's Field Edition 2014, he gives T65 uncut sheets a Rarity 12 rating, 6-10 known.
