    Scarce VF T32 $5

T32 $5 1861. This attractive two-toned orange and black note, printed by the firm Leggett, Keatinge & Ball in October, 1861, features a vignette of a blacksmith with a hammer at right and a boy in an oval at left. This is another of those elusive design types that Confederate collectors hardly ever see, much less have the opportunity to purchase at auction. Problem-free save for a tiny skinned spot on the back that is mentioned merely for accuracy, this Very Fine example is an ideal candidate for an exceptional CSA type set.
