    Description

    Always Popular Confederate Type Note

    T27 $10 1861 PF-2 Cr. 227.
Type 27 is perhaps the rarest design of all of the Confederate types with a surviving population of around 113 notes of all varieties in 2014 according to Fricke. The variety with numbered plens was represented by around 34 examples in 2014. The A14 plen was represented by three notes and, with this new serial number (sn. 5001), now has a total of four known. Virtually all of these T27 notes have been restored or otherwise conserved and this note is no exception. PMG grades it Very Good 10 Net due to repairs and reconstruction. The note at least now faces up well and is intact.
