    Incredible "Indian Family" $10

    T22 $10 1861 PF-1 Cr. 151.
Easily the finest example of this popular Confederate Type that we have handled. The Indian Family vignette at center is one of the most coveted designs and few examples of the type grade higher than VF. This note shows a couple of very minor corner bends, but clearly escaped circulation. The colors are crisp and bold, with perfect remaining signatures and serial numbers. A look at the PMG census shows just three notes in EF or AU, with the finest listed a 55 without the EPQ designation. PCGS does not publish Confederate notes in their population report, but we will conjecture that this is the finest graded by PCGS at Choice About New 58PPQ. A simply incredible offering that may set a new price record for the type.
