    T13 $100 1861 PCGS Choice New 63.
By the time this design started coming out of Hoyer & Ludwig in the Fall of 1861, required quantities had started to climb in response to the Department of Treasury's increased needs. By the Spring of 1862 when this note was retired, nearly 630,000 of this design had been issued. Traditionally, the vignette has been known as the "Slaves Loading Cotton" vignette but this note clearly shows that the loaders are Caucasian. This note has all the appearances of being printed perhaps yesterday and also enjoys dark penned information without any ink erosion. We have recently sold a PMG Choice Unc 63 EPQ for $660 and a PMG Choice Unc 64 (no EPQ) for $720.
