    T3 55PPQ with Captain T. Williams Endorsement

    Manuscript Endorsement "T. G. Williams" T3 $100 1861 PF-2 Cr. 3.
    This charming example with serial number 1150-A was graded PCGS Choice About New 55PPQ, and it exhibits premium paper quality, flawless edges, and dark inks. It has a penned issued statement on the back: "Issued June 17 1861 T(homas) G. Williams Capt[ain] & C[ommissary] S[ubsistence]." Our archives show that it is the second-nicest third party graded T3 we have auctioned. It is right on the heels of the first, which was another PF-2 that graded PMG 58 EPQ and it went for $27,025 in January 2013.
