Manuscript Endorsement "N. B. Brown Capt. & AQM" T39 $100 1862 PF-1 Cr. 298 Very Fine.The back of this note has a black "Issued Sep. 1st, 1862." stamp and a manuscript endorsement of "N. B. Brown / Capt. & AQM." Nathan B. Brown was confirmed Captain and AQM on June 1, 1862 and was serving as Paymaster in Savannah at the time this note was issued. He was paroled on May 1, 1865 at Greensboro, NC. A blue ink smudge is displayed on the front.
