Military Endorsement.T39 $100 1862 PF-13 Cr. 294/296.
T40 $100 1862 PF-1 Cr 298/300 (3)
It is quite possible that these four notes spent time together in Texas. The T39 has a manuscript entry on the back attesting that Major Benjamin Bloomfield issued the note in Houston, TX on March 3, 1863. It also bears a black IP stamp paying interest to January 1, 1864, the style of which is normally associated with Texas. Two of the three T40s have similar black IP stamps while the third has a lone manuscript entry noting that interest was paid to January 1, 1864. Three of the four notes also have the name Woods written on the back. An interesting group worth more detailed study. Very Good and better. No repairs or significant damage aside from edge rollovers, corner foldovers, and small chips.
