Bonham is the county seat of Fannin County in North Texas and was the location of a Confederate supply depot. The depositary was S.B. Allen. These certificates would be exchanged at a lesser rate in "New Issue" notes (the February 17, 1864 issue) for older notes as an attempt to curb inflation. Fine-Very Fine, missing lower left corner.
