We know that these are AR-24s from the rubber stamped name of "Edward Cross" on the single remainder that was serial numbered with "5682." Washington was the capital of Arkansas from 1863-65. Edward Cross was appointed as depositary in June 1864. These IDR's would be turned in to collect one's bonds when the bonds became available. A recently published book covers IDR's - Confederate Treasury Certificates A Collector's Guide to IDRs by George B. Tremmel, Pierre Fricke, and John Martin Davis, Jr. Very Fine, pinholes and edge pieces missing.
