DescriptionInterim Depositary Receipt Fairfield, (TX)/Corsicana, (TX)- $600 Dec. 30, 1864 Tremmel TX-32.
This is a Houston Type 12 Exchange Certificate with a rarity rating of 11, eleven to twenty known, very rare. The printer is E.H. Cushing & Co. of Houston. The back reveals that it was transferred to Corsicana, (Texas) on January 2, 1864. An unique transferring as far as we can determine with conversations with the authors of Confederate Treasury Certificates A Collector's Guide to IDRs by George B. Tremmel, Pierre Fricke, and John Martin Davis, Jr. The "Texas, Bonham" designation on the third party label is incorrect. The net grade is for a missing upper left corner and ink burn, which is trivial. PMG About Uncirculated 50 Net.
