    Description

    Ball 158 Cr. 118 £500 1863 Bond Fine-Very Fine.
This is one of the fabled bond issues of the Confederacy as it was floated overseas in London and the Continent with the backing of the Erlanger financial empire. All of these bonds were in fact signed by Baron Emile Erlanger. There are a few pinholes and a couple of small holes at the fold intersections. The back has a London & County Bank rubber stamping.
