This is a complete subset of early Montgomery bonds except for two Ball numbers that are each represented by only one known bond in a preliminary printing stage. The $50 and $100 bonds were printed by the small New Orleans printer John Douglas, while the $500 and $1000 bonds were printed by the Southern Bank Note Company (nom de guerre of the ABNCo New Orleans) without their imprint. These were once mounted with stamp hinges. The $1000 bond has a small hole.
