Advanced State Proof for the $10 Chemicograph Back Design

Confederate States of America -Developmental Essay Proof for Straker & Sons $10 Chemicograph Back Design. PCGS Very Choice New 64.
This is another stunning proof, and it appears to be complete or virtually so. Printed in black ink. As previous, the card measures 30.0cm by 22.0cm, and the note within is 19.0cm by 8.0cm, with the visible plate embossing delineating the margin. The Confederate Seal in the center depicts George Washington on horseback, as seen on the Virginia Washington Monument in Richmond, encircled by cotton and other Southern crops. THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA arcs around, and the motto DEO VINDICE (loosely, God as our defender) is in exergue. Flanking are denominations within the agricultural features developed in the previous essay. Shading and other details appear complete. There is a pinpoint petty speck on the impression, away from the printed area, otherwise it has a Gem appearance. The $10 proof in the Ball-Richmond lot was an earlier version. This is a complete (or virtually complete) proof with tremendous style.

Truth Seeker: The Life of Eric P. Newman (softcover)
A powerful and intimidating dealer of the 1960s, backed by important colleagues, was accused of selling fraudulent gold coins and ingots to unsuspecting numismatists. Who would go up against a man like that and, over the course of decades, prove the fraud? Who would expose a widely respected scholar as a thief, then doggedly pursue recovery of coins that the scholar had stolen from an embarrassed numismatic organization, all over the objections of influential collectors who had bought coins with clouded titles? Eric P. Newman would - and did. Reserve your copy today.
